Bug Description

There doesn't seem to be a way to add Desktop to the sidebar.

Dragging and dropping from the user folder (as you would to add other links) doesn't seem to function. Though I realize that elementary intends to do away with drawing files onto the Desktop, it's still a much used folder for people and it should be possible to add it to the sidebar for quick access.

Thanks!

I don't understand this bug: the sidebar Personal section which represent the bookmarks can accept any folder drop. So to add the Desktop folder in the sidebar just drag it in the section between the other bookmarks, what's not obvious doing this? It worked like that too in nautilus-elementary.

That's what I don't understand either. It simply isn't working for me. I drag the folder over to the sidebar, hover it between two folders in the Personal section, a line appears between the two items, I release the folder, but it isn't added to the sidebar.

Indeed. Full read and write perms for my username.
I also have this problem on my netbook, except there, I can't seem to add any additional items to the Personal line on the Sidebar.
