To update -
ring switcher now works as expected

Scale is limited to 'all' (all windows) on the current output only, whether broken or an intentional neutering don't know?

I've got the same problem with scale. It seems to show the windows in their respective workspaces rather than all on the same workspace. Really, really annoying.
