Many bugs have been fixed since the 0.4.5 release. The most recent version is 0.11.0. Would you be able to try this latest version to see if the problem still occurs?
GParted 0.11.0 can be found on the GParted Live CD (http:// gparted. org/livecd. php), and also on the Precise Pangolin Ubuntu 12.04 alpha 2 image.
