mintinstall crashes repeatedly after starting

When I start mintinstall it opens then closes with in 10 seconds. I am unable to use the application. Running the application as sudo has no change in the output.
I'm using Mint12-kde with all stable updates installed.

Hi, can you update if this is still an issue for you? A possible workaround is to install Muon as an alternative, as detailed here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=109&t=93496

And as not for community.linuxmint.com, moved to linuxmint.
