ffmpeg floods my log files with startup messages. This makes it very difficult to see what ffmpeg is actually doing. The startup message should be removed.
This problem has been discussed by others before at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5596135/run-ffmpeg-without-outputting-configuration-information
and reported at https://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/ticket/988 .
Nevertheless the problem still persists and needs to be fixed.
