Bug Description

I am testing Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 on the ThinkPad E525.

When using the open source Radeon driver, I have a laptop screen with 1366x768 and an LCD panel at 1920x1080 over HDMI.

Multimonitor works correctly, except for the fact that the workspace switcher is not shown in its entirety on the LCD panel. It does not show perhaps the first 1/5 to 1/4 of the switcher, making it difficult to move items around on the larger screen. It is possible to do it on the smaller screen.

It should probably show the switcher on both screens in its entirety or perhaps just on the primary screen.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/929891/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Same issue here, Lenovo X201 (integrated Intel) when connected to either a 1920x1080 TV or 1650x1050 monitor.

On my Dual Monitor Setup on 12.04 LTS beta 2
the switcher shows up OK on the first Monitor (the smaller one), but on the second Monitor, although there's enough space, the display is shifted to the left so that you cannot see everything.

Does really no one have an idea on how to approach to find a solution for this annoying bug?
