Steps to reproduce:

In GNOME 3:

1. Click on Activities.
2. Click on Emapthy icon.
4. Select Chat->Quit
    Nothing happens.
5. Click the X.
    Empathy window closes.

Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
please update your system and than try it again.i have tested but not be able to reproduce this.
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

ok lets rock:)
 see when you open the help==> debug menu select mission control from there clear its log and than reproduce the issue after reproducing save the log and attach it with the bug..

I tried this, but nothing shows up in the log. Here's what I did:

1. Help->Debug
2. Window didn't open the first time
3. Help->Debug again
4. Debug Window opens, has some log output in it
5. mission-control is already selected
6. Click Clear
7. Select Chat->Quit in the main Empathy window
8. Nothing appears in the Debug Window

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 now. Empathy has been behaving better, but I will look out for this issue. I'll let you know if I see it again or not over the next few days.
