Bug Description

What I do:
- Create new, empty calendar in Evolution 2.0
- Set Calendar conduit to copy from palm to computer (because I worry my palm data might get lost)
- Hotsync (takes very long)
- My Palm (m130, usb) calendar is now synched with my computer.
- Set calendar conduit to synchronise palm and computer
- Hotsync (takes very long again)
- Everything is now double both in evolution and in my palm.

This means a tedious process to delete most duplicated data manually (haven't found something that can do this
for me). This is very inconvenient as I can't reliably sync my palm and evolution now.

Seems to be this upstream problem:

That's contacts, not calendar.

It looks like the problem arises when doing "copy from pilot" first and then sync.

I finally found a program to delete (most) duplicates in the calendar on my Palm. This didn't delete the entries in my
evolution calendar, but it did stop duplicates happening anymore. It's not syncing properly, though.

Upstream requires information about whether this bug can be reproduced with the current version of Evolution.

Can any of the commenters or the reporter reproduce this on the current version of Evolution? If yes, please report here, and/or in the GNOME bug tracker.

Thank you very much for reporting this issue and following up on it.

Just in case it could be related.
These two URLs explain how duplicate entries can easily occur with OpenSync.
Be it calendar or contact or anything.
