Alt-tab viewer shows 2 windows even if only 1 window is open

Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
Open gedit or chrome (only certain apps) and press alt-tab to switch between the applications.
Expected Result:
Three icons shown in the alt-tab preview which are desktop, gedit and the chrome icon.
Actual Result:
You will notice that the alt-tab shows desktop, 2 gedit windows and chrome open even though only 1 gedit window is present.
I have attached a video screencast showcasing the bug. I am running the latest daily build of Precise 12.04 with Unity 5.2. More information will be provided if required.

Does this occur every time?
And, does running unity --reset fix the issue?
