Bug Description

I was reinstalling Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 64bit upgrading from 11.10 in a Wubi install after the previous version crashed and couldn't be repaired. That version went to a blank screen with the mouse and keyoard disabled (I couldn't even open a terminal). This install produced a warning when I went to check for new updates (there was one) but seems to continue working.

I cannot access bug #921130, but I did notice some others when I reported it, they related to the i386 (32bit) version, I was not sure if the fault sovered both 32bit and 64bit, if I can access bug #921130 I'll add any further information there.
