Ask Ubuntu tag excerpts have a blocky transparent area

Hovering over the tags on Ask Ubuntu ( http://askubuntu.com/ ) produces a see-through area on the right of the pop-up tag excerpt that appears. See attached screenshot for an example.

I cannot reproduce this issue on my 11.10 laptop, however.
