Bug Description

Every time I want to look at the properties of a file that is on my desktop (all windows hidden after summoning the desktop), all the windows that weren't manually minimized appear behind the properties windows.
This is a problem as one can not work properly on the desktop and has to summon the desktop by alt+tab, super+d or minimizing all windows everytime a file's properties are opened.

This was noticed on Ubuntu 11.10.

Steps to reproduce:
- Open a window, nautilus for example;
- Summon the desktop with the combination super + D (or ctrl + alt + D)
- Right click on an file on the desktop to look at its properties;
-> the previously opened windows appear behind the properties window, cutting the workflow when working on the desktop

This is fixed in 12.04 beta, but I could reproduce this on my wife's computer (11.10), so I will now change the status of this bug back to "new".

Hum, it's not because it has been fixed in a newer version that it doesn't exist in older versions that are still supposed to be supported, is it?
This is still a bug in 11.10 as far as I know, so why make it invalid?

Fair enough, 11.10 is not supported anymore, and this is not reproducible on 13.04, so I guess we can close it.
Cheers!
