Bug Description

I have a very standard Kubuntu 11.10 installation. I installed the lubtunu-desktop. After logging into the lubuntu session, the synaptic package manager NEVER starts from the Menu but it WILL start on the command line interface (CLI).

This bug made a come back on lubuntu 14.04 (still alpha as I write)

On a fresh install, I can't open synaptic and every programs that need root permissions.

Lubuntu software center opens, but he can't obtain root permissions if I try to install something.
