Bug Description

In the attached example, the color of "symptote" is black but should be red.

I just added the original example where this came from, which includes TeX clipping. The desired output is here:

Probably TeX clipping support is too much to ask for though.

I found the reason for the missing colors. Actually, it's not the colors that are missing but several layers of colored strings. They are generated by the PS operators findfont and show. The current version of dvisvgm has only limited support for these font/string operators. Also, embedded Type 1 fonts are not supported yet.
In order to convert your example properly, some more programming has to be done. I put it on my to-do list since it would be a nice additional feature that is also relevant for eps files created by Metapost.

Concerning the support for TeX clipping, I will have a look at it.

Finally, I'm glad to hear that you like dvisvgm. It encourages me to keep working on it. :)
