I personally don't totally agree with a decision of removing a package from the archive.
Maybe a disclaimer could be provided for those who want to use it anyway, since amsn is IMAO one of the most powerful amsn clients for ubuntu at this time, it is the more close to the windows native messenger.

Anyway can I branch it and upload in my personal ppa, I will try to make it available for people who wants to use it

amsn2 is being worked on, but isn't ready at the moment, I'd rather not have amsn in precise with old security issues that will only grow over time. We can backport amsn2 when it hits our archive.

Yes but what about removing amsn only when amsn2 will be ready in the repository?

I don't think this should ship in precise as-is, so we can't leave it. This has already been removed from Debian. We're not removing it from existing user's systems, just from the archive. Backports are enabled by default now, so a new package should be discoverable by people who want it. We just have to wait for it to get into Debian first.
