sound indicator does not show current Rhythmbox song and UI controls

Bug Description

On precise Rhythmbox does not display any indicator. When closing the window via the window manager music continues playing without giving the user any hint how to stop it. One needs to open rhythmbox again and then use music->quit to stop the playback.

I would think that the sound menu would handle this fine. I suspect this is by design. Please set status and unnassign if approprite.

Erk..

That's a design team specification. You should see Rhythmbox including the current song and play/pause buttons in the sound indicator. This worked in the past, but it seems that this regressed. Reassigning to DX.

Dropping the indicator from rhythmbox was done on purpose in favor for mpris integration with the sound indicator as indicated

Indicator now shows the current playing track and album art. The player quit procedure is outlined in the spec (wiki.ubuntu.com/SoundMenu)

Player behavior is outlined in the spec. And now the current song and controls should be working fine for rb.
