In Precise : Rhythmbox hangs when an external device is connected

Bug Description
If I run rhythmbox with an external device connected (Samsung Galaxy S2 in mass storage mode), then rhythmbox hangs indefinitely and needs to be force quit.
Nothing useful from the terminal output while this is happening...

Note the device is accessible from within Nautilus without any issue even while rhythmbox is hanging.
Also, it is showing in the rhythmbox interface as "12 Gb Filesystem".
