missing windows in the task switcher (alt-tab) list

LibreOffice windows do not appear in the task list. This makes them impossible to select other than by hinding windows above the LibreOffice windows.

Expected behaviour: LibreOffice windows are selectable the same way as any other.

Additional information: the problem does not appear to be related to a specific application: currently, the menu is present in Firefox, but is absent in gvim, for example.

This is driving me nuts. I use 'gedit' for development and it doesn't show up in the alt-tab switcher. So I save a change, flip to a console window to run it and then try to flip back and end up in some other app. Aaagh! ;)
