6.1RC1 - Cannot open module menu

Hello,

I installed OpenERP Server 6.1RC1 on a Ubuntu 10.04LTS and I use OpenERP Client 6.1RC1 on a Windows Vista.

I tryed to double-click on Settings / Modules / Modules, but nothing happens. I had to use Update Modules List to install modules.

You should have checked the log file which can guide you better to know the root of the error.

Hello,

I tryed to launch OpenERP Server in console, by the command openerp-server --log-level=debug, but nothing has been displayed on my screen. Is that what you meant?

I mean to check the log file of Server and the client.

All such errors would be inside the log file.

In Window rc1- GTK-client is contain log file which show actually error. when you close your client in window it's show the path of log file. Log file show me following trace back.

The log file should be in >Primary Drive>/Program Files (x86)\OpenERP 6.1\openerp-client.exe.log Or according to your system.

I use a client in french. The translation of the last line should be

Exception: this type (kanban) is not supported by the GTK client.

And as information title, could you say me where to find the logs on a ubuntu server?

Update: as tested with the latest nightly build of the 6.1 branch [1], opening the module list now works fine.
