Bug Description

After, doing what appears to be everything correctly. I run the process, and the log ends up as this.
It's 6 or 7 exposure different images, that I'm trying to blend into an HDR. Mainly testing purposes right now.
I keep getting a Seg Fault at the last make exr step.

Redhat's bugzilla shows similar if not same problem, with no resolution.

Setting this as a Hugin bug since the logs show the crash is in hugin_hdr_merge not enblend.

Though I have no solution, do you still get the crash if you try three photos instead of seven? (just hide the other photos in the preview window and try the stitch again)

no longer affects: enblend

I tried setting hugin on this bug also. But I couldn't tell if it was hugin, or enblend throwing the errors.

I have tried many different variations of pictures, counts and settings.

I find it odd though, I'd figure more people would be trying to do these HDR, or at least attempt with hugin. (I presume that more people just blend them manually, than let a piece of software try to muddy it up.)

Yup. this isn't the same one that produced the error above, but does end up with a failure too...

Actually here's the one that produced that error.

After runnig that last PTO I didn't get the same error. so I created a new one, and tried running a new HDR...
It fails, with this error in the middle:
*** glibc detected *** hugin_hdrmerge: corrupted double-linked list: 0x00000000013af7a0 ***

at end:
make: *** [test_stack_hdr_0000.exr] Aborted

I have not been able to reproduce these problems here using your ptos on a similar machine (X86_64/4GBytes) using hugin 2011.04.
However, the latest error message makes me think about bad memory in your machine.
If you redo this stitch, do you get the same error every time?
Did you experience other crashes with memory intensive applications?
Can you install memtest86+ and give it a spin?

I ran memtest, and I didn't see after about an hours of testing.
So I gave up, and decided to just throw this hard drive into a new machine. I will test again shortly.

New machine, failed, not a seg fault...
Attached is the saved PTO from this failure.
Please tell me I'm just doing something wrong.

No action on this for a while, so thought I would check whether the last test.pto fails on my system, Fedora 20 x86_64.
Using Hugin-2014.1.0 and enblend-4.2 with output set to EXR, it fails, but stitches without error if output set to TIFF.
Using enlend-4.1.2 with output set to EXR it stitches without error.
