Unable to sign into Ubuntu11.04 live USB

Bug Description
I ran Ubuntu 11.04 from live USB without HDD attached to system, two three times, Ubuntu signed directly, without asking for any username or password, afterwards, it comes to halt at login splash, I tried using ubuntu as username and password (just blank), but it does not work
Username that I used to sign-in with password as blank

but to no avail,

Then i used install ubuntu to HDD option(second option from initial screen) when the splash for installing came, I clicked quit, system automatically logged-in,
when i checked the user and group(from setting menu)
it shows ubuntu as user and name as Live session user,
