awn ignores monitor_align

I have two docks, one should be centered at the left screen edge, another should have align ≈0.9 at the bottom edge (topmost transparent clock applet).

gconf-editor shows appropriate monitor_align values in both instances of /apps/instances/avant-window-navigator/panel-1/panel/monitor_align, but when awn loads, it ignores this variable completely, drawing right-edged dock at the left top screen corner and bottom-edged dock at the left bottom screen corner.

I run LXDE and launch awn as
avant-window-navigator --startup
AWN is 0.4.1, installed from ubuntu 11.10 repositories.
WM is compiz 0.9.6, from official repositories.
Hardware: Intel Corporation N10 Family Integrated Graphics Controller.
