Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

When ever I clicked on download package, firefox tried to open that file in Totem and reported that missing Totem plugin, unable to open the file. After repeating it for say 5 times, the problem occurred. Moreover whenever I type, it mysteriously sends several keystrokes of same letter as if i pressed that key several times. I have chhecked my keyboard its working fine on other operating sysstems. Keyboard is Meercury Multimedia USB.

Thank you for your report could I get the following info from you please?

What version of Ubuntu?

What version of Firefox?

How have you tried to install Flash 9?

Have you tried installing the package that is in the ubuntu repositories?

As for the keyboard issue is it only effecting firefox? If not you need to create a separate bug for it, which I'm guessing is the case.

.rpm file extension download link from Adobe's website (adobe.com/go/flashplayer) seems to have the mime-type mapped to totem as .rpm is also a realPlayer extension...

RPM is a Red Hat packaging extension which ubuntu does not use (or support). Please use the tar.gz found on the page.
