Bug Description

Although this form opens OK in the new web client, on my test system it does not open at all in the GTK client (on Windows 7) even though it appears in the menu. Sales Leads opens OK though. I have no idea if this is a GTK client problem or a module problem...not even sure where I would look to get any debug or diag logging for this.

Hello tozm,

I have Checked your Issue at my end, But I did not face any problem. That's why I attached the Screen-short of Opportunities. So would you please check It and notify us where you have faced the problem.

Thank you and waiting for your reply!

Yes I can see that it is working for you, but it does not do that for me!!

Also, and this may be another clue, the Home Page is coming up empty? I suspect I have some sort of problem with the GTK install... there is some sort of widget that is not loading properly.

I also still have the 6.0 client installed. Hopefully 6.1 is not picking up DLL's from the 6.0 path or anything silly like that.

One question: when I downloaded the 6.1rc1 client installer, it came up with version (in the installer) as 6.0 still, even though Help About says 6.1dev. So I presume that we are both running the same version.

Is there any tracing I can enable on the client side to figure out what's going wrong?

OK Well it doesn't work using the 6.0 client either. But the 6.0 client does works correctly with the 6.0.3 server.

So this does not seem to be GTK client problem then, but more like a server problem that only impacts the GTK client??

Hello Tozm,

when you using client 6.0 at that time you must be use 6.0 server. Because 6.0 client are not compatible with 6.0.3 server. so when you misconfiguration with client and server at that definitely you faced the problem.

So Its advisable that client and server are used with the suitable version.

Thanks!

Amit I think you are missing my point! :-)

Yes I agree that the 6.0 client won't work properly with the 6.1 server, but it does work "enough" to demonstrate that this particular problem appears to be a server-side problem.

To explain again: Using the 6.0 client, I can actually get into the Sales Leads screen on the 6.1 server, but not the Sales Opportunities. Hence the 6.0 and 6.1 clients are doing the same thing in this respect. BUT, Sales Opportunities works correctly from 6.0 client to 6.0 server. Hence the implication is that the problem is not peculiar to the 6.1 client, but rather to the 6.1 server.

When you tested this out, did you use the all-in-one installer running on Windows 7? (x64). i.e. so that both client and server are running on same machine on Windows. If not, could you please try that configuration?
