Bug Description

Run Dapper on Packard Bell easynote R4 without problem to wireless. Updated to Edgy Eft and although the integrated wireless is detected, it refuses to connect. ESSID and WEP key have both been triple-plus checked.

lspci yields this line among the output:
01:01.0 Network controller: RaLink RT2500 802.11g Cardbus/mini-PCI (rev 01)

and

~$ sudo iwlist ra0 scan

Cell 01 refers to the router I'm trying to connect to.

Also installed Mint Linux 2.2 "Bianca" and this gives the same problem.

The unit works fine under the windows xp pro installation on the same machine. Any help greatly appreciated.
