This is already being worked on by some enterprising people in the forums: http://mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2732

You can download their work from that post and test it.

The forum thread is pretty long and cluttered but some nice work has emerged from different authors.

If you own a dj2go, please test the scripts and post here which version is the most stable/usable so we can decide for inclusion in the next release.

The one already shipped in the trunk works nicely with my DJ2GO controller.
Why do I need to test these ones ?

Bump for latest development.
Obviously, the improved Alimantado/Coval mapping is most suitable for inclusion in 1.11 as explained in http://mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3369 ff.

For whatever it's worth, I just picked up a DJ2Go (can't beat it for $40, plus I love the small size!) and I found it works great using the Numark Mixtrack mapping that comes with Mixxx, except that the crossfader is backwards. Easily fixed by changing the mode from "Invert" to "Normal".

My only problem is I can't seem to export (the edited version as) a new preset from Preferences/Midi Controllers.

I could, of course, edit the Mixtrack XML file, and while I'm at it, delete all the controls that don't exist on the DJ2GO :)

We don't have a feature to export the preset but it is stored in your Mixxx user folder (~/.mixxx on Linux, ~/Library/Application Support/Mixxx on OS X, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mixxx on Windows). Check the 'controllers' folder (for 1.11) or the 'midi' folder (for 1.10 and below) and you'll find the XML file. It points to the script files stored in the Mixxx resource folder though so you'll have to grab those too.

We could definitely use an 'export' feature :).
