Bug Description

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS is affected by bug [1] in the kernel. It causes the host to lock up after approximately 209 days of uptime.
There is already a fix committed [2] for Lucid in the SRU process although this also needs to be included in the LTS Backported kernels, since Ubuntu users also use backported kernels.
