Bug Description
I have just performed a system update using Update Manager, which opened automatically. There was an error updating at least one package, so I still have updates pending. I also upgraded dbus and networkmanager, which require a restart in order to be fully applied. In spite of this, the Session Indicator still says "Software Up to Date" and the icon is the usual light grey, rather than the red indicator for restart required.
Apport should take care of the details, but just in case it doesn't I'm on 12.04 AMD64.
