Bug Description
ubuntu 12.04 alpha 1, fully updated, is having trouble recognizing my graphics card,
and the UI it puts up in this case has a usability problem: keyboard
input is not working. This is serious if (as in my case) the mouse cursor
is invisible.
The dialog in question has title
"What would you like to do?"
and one of the choices is
"Run Ubuntu in low-graphics mode for just one session" menu.
In this dialog, the keyboard should be active, but is not.
Likewise, if you choose "Run Ubuntu in low-graphics mode...", the
next dialog "Please wait one minute while the X server is restarted." "OK?"
also does not accept keyboard input, and is even harder to use
when the mouse is invisible than the previous dialog.
