The "Date" appears too close to the "Time" in the panel

Bug Description
It is difficult to discern what time it is when using ubuntu because the Date appears too close to the numbers that are telling the time. You guys need to make a more visible space between the Date-Number (for example, Jan 8) and the time number (for example, 21:54).
I attached a picture showing the problem: the 8 is too close to the 21:54.
