Bug Description

Binary package hint: kghostview

If I open some files in KGhostView, quit, and start KGhostView again, the list of recent files (File / Open Recent) is properly updated.

However, if I do not quit KGhostView but simply log out from KDE, this does not seem to be the case. On the next log in, KGhostView is started, it shows the file that was open on log out, etc., but the list of recent files is not up-to-date. It seems to contain the file that is currently open but not any other files that I had opened before log out.

The same bug seems to occur in some other KDE applications, too.

Package: kghostview, Version: 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu2

Still present in up-to-date Kubuntu 8.04. The same thing happens in the following KDE applications:

- KGhostView 0.20 (4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1)
- KPDF 0.5.9 (4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1)
- Kate 2.5.9 (4:3.5.9-0ubuntu7.2)

KDE version is 3.5.9.

Kghostview was removed from KDE 4, and it is unlikely such a minor issue will get fixed in KDE 3, therefore I am going to close this bug as won't fix.

Nonetheless thank you for helping us improve the Kubuntu system.
