Software Center displays blank and frozen Debconf dialogs

Steps:
1. download the lastest Virtual Box debian, currently: http://dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net/virtualbox/4.1.8/virtualbox-4.1_4.1.8-75467~Ubuntu~oneiric_amd64.deb
2. Aftter the download completes, click on it in nautilus
3. This will open it in software center, click install

Result:
During install a blank and frozen dialog appears several times (see attached screenshot)
Note that the install completes successfully, and the software runs fine after installation
