lost folder settings on upgrade to 12.04

When upgrading to 12.04, all the settings for how folders should be displayed (list view, 50%, etc) have been lost and reset to the default.

Ah, thanks. Then this is most likely fallout from bug 920894 (fixed an hour ago), possibly from bug 916441.

Can you please try running "gsettings-data-convert" and see what happens?

@Rick: We do have an automated test for this since yesterday :-)

Martin, I already manually over-wrote the settings, so it may not be useful anymore. Ran gsettings-data-convert anyway with no output or visible changes.

Ah, if you ran it 7 hours ago, the unity-2d fix should have kicked in. If you already have customized settings, it wouldn't work any more, right. I'm afraid there's nothing that we can retroactively do for you any more at this point, though :-(

However, we have automated tests for this now, which should help a lot to ensure that this doesn't happen in the future.
