Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

I have an Aopen mini-itx motherboard with an Intel 945 graphics chip and an Iiyama 1600x1200 LCD connected by a DVI cable. In the Xorg.0.log file I see an attempt to use 1600x1200, but then I get this in the log:

(WW) I810(0): Bad V_BIOS checksum

and finally I can only select 1280x1024 and lower resolutions.

I get the same result with other distributions (SuSE, Mandriva) but Hey, this is Ubuntu ad I am using Xorg 7.2 so this should be fixed.

I have worked through the 815resolultion instructions, they did not fix the situation.

Worse: Microsoft Vista sets 1600x1200 just fine.

Could you please recheck it with Gutsy Final Live CD? In Gutsy i810 driver is deprecated and intel driver is used instead.
