Bug Description

Not an uncommon problem, due to mismatch in packages. I don't know the exact mismatch in Mint. But search the web for "kdenlive fatal error mlt's sdl module not found." and you will see the problem pop up from time to time.

I also run straight debian unstable/sid on another system and kdenlive works fine there.

Version Mint: current stable (as of late Dec 11); up to date.
To see the problem, install kdenlive from repository and try to start it.
It fails to start.
Problem is very repeatable.

I finally got to checking the target computer and the kdenlive config files are not on it. Similar to another user having the same problem with no kdenlive config file yet hitting the bug. I assume the bug will go away with the next major upgrade (or so) when the pieces come back in sync.

Kdenlive Version 0.8.2.1 Using KDE Development Platform 4.8.2 (4.8.2) & Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) Beta 2 works fine there.
