I second this. Would be nice to have my adb touchpad functioning properly.
Still time to patch the kernel before Feisty :)

There is a specific process to request a kernel patch which is available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelPatches. It requires a submission to the <email address hidden> mailing list. I'll mark the bug report as Confirmed for tracking purpose. The kernel team will make the decision.
