Dash and sidebar covered by other windows and has a border

when dash is opened and the monitor is occupied by other programs, the programmes cover the dash but if you click somewhere, it opens the shortcut. What I mean is that actually everything is functional, and you can do whatever you want to do in dash, except that you have to memorize where the buttons are as You can't see them. The other problem is the fat border you could see in the picture(that bug should have been filed before)

but in my case it happens with all softwares, not just mumble!!
