Bug Description

On AMD64, running a fully up to date Ubuntu, I updated some packages on 9 Mar. everything seemed ok. However now during boot, after seeing the (corrupted) Ubuntu logo and the progress bar is filled , I get a full screen full of:

udevd[2311]: add to rules: unknown key 'ATTRS{idProduct}'

I am able to continue by hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del, which gives me:

init rcS process killed by signal...
init rc6 process killed by signal...

(I don't have time to see the rest of the error message.)

Then I get the login screen.

This happens every time I boot.

Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
GF.
