I'm not being asked for a nickname but portal fails to log in because of it or at least keeps giving me the error. I'm newb

Bug Description
I'm newb. Looking to get away from mac and windows. Trying to register for the installfest Brisbane. I'm not being asked to provide a nickname anywhere in the process and then I get error pages saying I didn't give it and it's required. Not that I really care but you might want to know about it. I generally stop using things that don't work properly after a short time.

When you login to the Portal, you fill out your email address and password for your launchpad account. You are then sent to a page that asks "If you proceed, the following information will be available to LoCo Team Directory:" and will have a few different items, Full name, username, email, team membership. Each one of these must be checked in order for LoCo Team Portal to work. It sounds like you may have left 'Username' unchecked, which will cause the error: No nickname given for your account.
Please try again and make sure that all boxes are checked and report back.
