Bug Description

Pressing CTRL-C durring a "checkinstall --fstrans=0" results in bash: /bin/bash: No such file or directory.

This is where I was:
..........................................................................................................................................................................................................

Some of the files created by the installation are inside the home directory: /home

You probably don't want them to be included in the package.
Do you want me to list them? [n]:
Should I exclude them from the package? (Saying yes is a good idea) [n]: ^C

I don't really see what would be expected behavior here? Pressing CTRL-C in the middle of an operation isn't something you'd normally do and expect to get any kind of usable result..?

Ok for anyone landing in this situation (f.e. by trying to `checkinstall --fstrans=no ./vmware-product.bundle` 😬).. a probable cause is that checkinstall has removed the /lib -> /usr/lib symlink and replaced it by a directory. Lucky you if you have a tmux session with a root ranger instance running to recover from that 😅 .. else, you'll probably have to boot into a recovery system 🚒 ..
