Were you using a plugin with gaim for festival, or were you using gaim with an assistive technology such as orca or gnopernicus?

I was using a festival plug in for Gaim that is designed to read your
messages to you.

This now seems to be happening with Festival Pidgin in Hardy. That might actually be a different bug because it worked fine in Gutsy, albeit with a non-official version of festival pidgin. However the behavior I'm seeing appears to match this bug.

The same error happened to me. When pidgin starts and the first message is received i am informed that festival just crashed. This bug is still present in Hardy Beta !
