Bug Description

Just installed Mint 12 32bit
My default (gnome3) desktop freezes (no mouse or keyboard works) each time right after login. Nvidia driver (nvidia-current) and all updates are installed. No additional software was installed yet. Gnome Classic desktop (both with and without effects) works fine. I also tried Ubuntu 11.10 with unity - no problems appeared.

I have dell xps m1210 with geforce go 7400

This is not related to MGSE media player (bug #892316) or any other additional software - I can't even run a thing - only hard reset helps.

This also happens to me! I'm using Linux Mint Debian Edition and if i try to log in immediately when the login screen shows up it will go black and then lag really bad or freeze all together.
