Banshee Streamrecorder does not show a red record button

http://www.gitorious.org/banshee-community-extensions/pages/StreamRecorderUserGuide states that "after installation and activation there is a red record button."
This is not true on my Banshee 2.2.1 under GNOME Shell 3.2.1.
I expect that my Banshee under Ubuntu 11.10 fulfills the StreamRecorderUser Guide statement.
