frsh install of 11.10, crashes installing grub to /dev/sda

Bug Description

* installing 11.10 amd64 from iso I walk through everyhting,
* created lvm and volumes before, and created filesystems, installer picks those up problemfree
* installs everything
* alert: cant install grub to /dev/sda, choose another device
* choosing /dev/sda again ubiquity just crashes

tho, probably related to my custom partitioning. as I created alle the LVM stuff beforehand (as the installer cant ..), I create a ne w partition map as well, and probably the installer wasnt able to write grub into the GPT partition table or got confused by it. tho, grub2 should seemlessly install into GPT. another hint probably: / was formatted as btrfs.

crash didnt happen with ext4 as filesystems and msdos partition table. all with lvm.
