Please backport Openafs 1.4.4-1 to edgy

Backport Request: Openafs 1.4.4-1 (feisty) --> (edgy)

The version included in edgy FTBFS with the latest kernel 2.6.17-11 which renders Openafs on edgy useless.

This backport will make openafs useable again, fix some bugs, and fix a security flaw in 1.4.1 openafs.
Note: There is no reason to also create a -security release, since 1.4.1 FTBFS on edgy anyways.

UPDATE:
1.4.2-4ubuntu1 contains a security flaw, and has been upgraded to 1.4.4-1 in feisty.

I'm using this build of openafs for some time now on the athena.mit.edu cell, and it works just fine.

The bug status says "in progress" but the bug isn't assigned to anybody? Who changed the status to in progress?

I did; the standard procedure for approving a backport is for a member of the Ubuntu Backporters team to change status to in progress and subscribe ubuntu-archive. There is no specific assignee, and ubuntu-archive has also told me that they would prefer being subscribed rather than assigned.
