Google contacts phone fields don't display in TB

Bug Description
Using TB 8.0 and EDS Integration 3.8 on Ubuntu 11.10
I have Gmail contacts working fine in Evolution, but I prefer Thunderbird. But the TB address book display only shows name, email and organisation. All the telephone fields are blank in the main pane and are not shown in the contact preview pane. I've confirmed they are present in Evolution or if I use the web interface to Gmail contacts. It's as if there is an issue in the field mapping between the evolution data server and TB.
Happy to post logs etc if it would help.

The same issue also occurs if a contact is copied from the regular Thunderbird address book into EDS by drag & drop in the Thunderbird Address Book window.
