Bug Description

The latest release of OpenConnect is 3.15. This release fixes quite a few bugs. Also, Kubuntu's network manager interface requires version 3.03 at least, so Kubuntu users can't use OpenConnect via the gui until the version is updated.

I attached a bug watch to a bug requesting a newer version of this package in Debian. Since Ubuntu is based on Debian it will be synced automatically at some point once it is available.

Yes, let's update this ASAP. Subscribing the release team to try and get a freeze exception for this.

Looks to me like most of the changes in upstream git (http://git.infradead.org/users/dwmw2/openconnect.git) look like bugfix from a quick glance at the log, but there are some more involved code changes (reworking NLS support, some new API (certificate expiry warning, etc.)), but in general it seems like a rather safe and obviously needed update at least for Kubuntu.

This bug was fixed in the package openconnect - 3.15-0ubuntu1

---------------
openconnect (3.15-0ubuntu1) precise; urgency=low

  * New upstream release. (LP: #905488)
  * debian/patches/fix-link.patch: dropped, included upstream.
  * debian/control:
    - add a libopenconnect1 package.
    - adjust Build-Depends, the build now requires libproxy and python.
  * debian/openconnect.install:
    - the openconnect binary moved from /usr/bin to /usr/sbin.
    - install everything that should be in /usr/share, not just manpages.
    - install openconnect documentation in /usr/share/doc/openconnect instead
      of /usr/share/openconnect.
  * debian/libopenconnect1.install: install the shared libraries.
  * debian/libopenconnect-dev.install: ensure we only install includes and the
    symlink to the shared library along with the pkgconfig files for the
    development package.
  * debian/rules: add an override for dh_install to clean up .la files.
