Ubiquity crashed at the beginning of the installation, using the whole disk for installing Ubuntu in VirtualBox.

This looks like bug 894768 again, which was supposedly fixed a week or two ago. Was the iso you used the latest daily iso build? If it was, please mark this as a duplicate of that report and post your bug number in the report of bug 894768 saying that you're still experiencing the problem.

This was for alpha1 image, not daily.

Ah, okay. I don't think the alpha 1 image was updated with the kernel that this was patched in, so we're fine. Thanks for your bug report.
