Bug Description

Gnome Panel crashed on startup. I also noticed that there was a kind of gnome-settings-daemon error because desktop icons used the fallback icon theme.

This is also happening for me - I'm not sure what the procedure is but being confirmed I didn't want to duplicate the post.

Since installing Gnome the panel has been non-existant, crashing from a fresh install.

Thoughts/fixes welcomed...
