Bug Description
I briefly suspended the laptop, upon resuming the unlock screen password dialog box was presented but the cursor was frozen and I could not move the mouse, it was also not possible to input anything into the text field to unlock.

Hmm, nothing in the log files you included show evidence of an Xorg freeze (aka GPU lockup). Reproduce the error, and with the system frozen ssh into it and collect 'sudo dmesg > dmesg.txt' and /sys/kernel/ debug/dri/ 0/i915_ error_state.
If you can't ssh into it, or the i915_error_state file is empty or missing, then it's more likely you're having some other general kernel failure, in which case check dmesg, /var/log/kern.log, or /var/log/syslog and reassign this bug to the linux.
